Welcome to the Children's Ministries
at Grace United Methodist Church
It is our goal to teach children to know, love, follow
and serve Jesus.
As you look about the church you will see that children are an important
part of our worshipping community. Their presence here grows out of a
commitment to incorporate children and nurture them into a growing
relationship with God. We take very seriously our responsibility to help
raise the next generation of God's people.
Children are provided with a loving, nurturing and age appropriate
environment in which they learn about God, his love for them and how to
love others. This is accomplished through a dedicated staff of teachers
and creative teaching methods.

SUNDAY MORNING PROGRAMS FOR KIDS:
8:00am to Noon - Nursery: is availble during all 3 services.
9:15am - Power Source Time: We have classes for all age groups. Get plugged in at the Power Source. Our children's classes include:
- Cooking
- Movies
- Storytelling
- Art
- Games
Come sign your children up for their age group. The classes are divided as follows:
- 4 & 5 year olds
- Kindergarten
- 1st & 2nd grades
- 3rd & 4th grades
- 5th & 6th grades

Power Source Classes
10:45am - Sunday School: We have one class for children ages 3 years through Kindergarten, which meets in room 13. All children are are welcome to attend the worship service with their parents.
OTHER CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS
SLAM/JAM
Slam/Jam which stands for Servants Loud and Mighty and Jesus and Me.
This program is for our children 3 years through 4th grade. They meet
on Wednesday night from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. They start out in small
groups with a bible appreciation lesson, snack it, then end in the
Sactuary with a praise time celebration.
CLUB 56
Club 56 is from 5:00pm to 7:30pm and is for all 5th
and 6th graders. We also have "SPECIAL" days
for just the Club 56ers. Those are announced
as they are planned.
God's Gang
Calling all kids who would like to be a part of "God's Gang" our children's choir. We will be meeting on Wednesday nights starting September 27th from 6:00-6:30pm in the Music Room. We are excited that Susan Laffitte will be leading us again this year. God's Gang is for all kids who are in the 1st grade - 6th grade...if you want to come sing with us we would love to have you.
NURSERY
We have a wonderful nursery available to any child 0 to 2 years
of age. It is available during all Sunday morning services and
for Wednesday evening activities. If you are in need of the nursery
for any other activities at the Church, please let the Church office know
and we will be happy to schedule a nursery worker for you.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Vacation Bible School is not limited to our members but is open to any child 3 years of age through 6th grade.
This is one week in the summer where the children can come and have a great time.
It is a fun filled week where all children are WELCOME!!!
This year our theme was "Power Lab - Discovering Jesus' Miraculous Power". It was the week of June 16 - 20, 2008
from 9:00am to 12:00 noon. We had over 400 children attend. Click the logo below and see what the children did at this year's program.
